February Favorite

Do you have a favorite?  I don't mean a favorite child, I mean that one yummy thing that you love to have, can't leave home without it, makes your day every time you use it?  For Third Thursday in February we would like to share our favorite things.  Kind of on the order of Oprah's favorite things only less expensive (Nobody will be getting a car--sorry).  If you are willing to share your favorite, bring it along, share the item and the joy with another sister, and she will pass on her favorite thing too, maybe to you!  Stay tuned for updates on this meeting it will be February 17 at 7pm but we are still looking for a location.  Feel free to leave some comment love.

Craft Day

Thursday February 3rd at 10am there will be a craft day gathering at Amy Gardner's house.  We will be making two different crafts:

footed bowl OR hurricane

OR apothecary jar
AND
crepe paper rose wreaths as seen on House of Smith's

For the glass project:  Dollar Tree on Durango and Elkhorn (next to TJMaxx) in the Smith's shopping center has candle sticks and glass vases and candy jars all for $1 each.  Gorilla Glue will be provided for this craft.

For the wreath only--not the board:  Save your Michael's coupon for a styrofoam wreath form!  WalMart has rolls of crepe paper but Party City has a larger selection.  You will also need hot glue for this one so bring your glue gun!

Please gather your supplies and come ready to learn a new craft and spend the morning visiting.

Chris sweetened us up...

Barb gave us a variation on the theme...

This is an amazing story about a Daughter of God and her experiences as she deals with an incredible trial.  Her blog is also amazing and uplifting.  Even in the depths of frustrations, irritations, sadness, she finds the beauty in all of it.  Check her out here.
